Scanners
Problem:
Getting messages on terminal Scanner is unplug (below), scanner has no lights, or not scanning.
Solution:
Could just be USB cable that goes into terminal or network plug that goes into scanner is unplug or loose.
1.) Look at the network end of the grey cable that goes directly into the scanner (red circle). Press down on the clip to pull out cable and plug back in. Test if we are able to scan but if scanner still does not work proceed below.
2.) From the back of the scanner trace and see if other end plugs into the back of the monitor USB ports, and if it is unplug plug it back in or try a different USB port. If not plug into back of the monitor open the top cover of the register by pressing the two tabs (middle picture below) to reveal the ports and cables. Scanner cable is going to be a grey USB cable.
3.) Unplug and plug back in or try a different USB port. Can plug into bottom USB ports if no other USB ports available on top.
4.) If still no lights on the scanner still try plugging into a different register. If still no lights on the scanner store will need to reach out to PAR.
