ComCast Change Request
Network Change Requests: Any change to the current configuration, these may include but are not limited to:
- URL-based changes
- VLAN configuration
- Add-ons to an existing environment
- Policy changes
The changes will only come from four authorized Zaxby’s employees:
The changes will be submitted using the “Zaxby’s change request template” shown below by emailing the Zaxby’s-Comcast distro at least 48 hours in advance.

Any other changes requested over the phone or a ticket should be denied by the Comcast NOC and the individual must be referred to the Zaxby’s network team to escalate their request.
According to the agreement between Zaxby’s and Comcast:
“Support for Change Requests. Comcast allows the Customer one (1) network-wide configuration change or one (1) Service Location level configuration change for a single Service Location per month.”

Metered Changes
Annual Firmware upgrade to be on par with Comcast Business Standards
Customer requested Firmware upgrade that is different than Comcast Business Standard
Firmware upgrade/downgrade to mitigate any Security Vulnerability
Configuration changes to accommodate the introduction of new Customer applications or hardware. E.g. Firewall Rules, Template creation, VLAN modifications, SSID additions etc.
Configuration Changes to meet Comcast Business device hardening standards
Configuration Changes to mitigate/remediate any Security Vulnerabilities
Configuration changes to support Comcast required logging, monitoring etc. to provide contracted services
Site level WAN IP address change as a result of change in ISP
Pre-approved changes e.g. URL Filtering, Content categories, SNMP credentials, Trusted hosts
