86'ing Dependent Availability Items
Some items use "Dependent Availability" in OLO and cannot be 86'd at the top level. This occurs when the way an item is presented to the guest differs from how it exists in the POS. For example, rather than having a "House Zalad" with modifiers for "Grilled," "Fried," and "Garden," there are three individual Zalads of each type. In order to present "House Zalad" as a single choice on the top level of the menu, "House Zalad" is not directly mapped to anything. Rather, the protein choices on the second level are mapped to each version of it and the price and availability of the top level are inherited.
You can identify dependent availability items based on the "86 Availability" button being "greyed out" on the top level of the menu item. This is almost exclusively used on the app/web menu. To 86 the item, select "Modifiers" to go down a level:

Select "Choices" on the mod group (usually containing "starred" items):

Here, you will be able to modify item availability:

Mark the necessary items unavailable. If all options are 86'd, the item will also be 86'd on the top level:

Un86'ing these items should work the same way. Once the options are un86'd, the top level should also be available. There is a bug in OLO that causes the top level to occasionally not be un86'd once the items it inherits availability from are marked available. If you encounter this issue, see this solution.
